Memorial Day Events:
Memorial Day Parade: Monday May 27th at 10:30 am and will begin on 7th Street and continue down Fremont and conclude with a service at Veterans Park.

The Kiel VFW Post honor guard will be providing a firing squad salute and the playing of taps at the following cemeteries: Kiel Cemetery 7:05 am, Hillside Cemetery 7:10 am, St. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery 7:15 am, Schleswig Cemetery- Rockville 7:30 am, Union Cemetery, Louise Corners 7:45 am, Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Louise Corners 7:55 am, Bethlehem UCC Cemetery 8:40 am, Eaton Union Cemetery 9 am, and Bethel Methodist/Meggers Cemetery 9:20 am

The annual brat fry will be held at the VFW clubhouse at 515 10th St. from 10 am to 3:30 pm 

Fourth Street Construction: Will begin in April and continue through the summer. Southbound traffic on Fourth Street will travel as usual, Northbound traffic must use Third Street as a detour. To view the detour map, please click hereFor more information visit the Water Utility page.

Summer Concert Series:
Join us in the Kiel City Park on Wednesday evenings. Bring your friends and enjoy a great night of free entertainment!
The concerts are located in the Kiel City Park, 417 Paine Street, and are sponsored by the Kiel Electric Utilities.
In case of inclement weather, concerts will be relocated to the Kiel City Hall Gym, 621 Sixth Street.

City of Kiel Revaluation
The City of Kiel is undergoing a complete revaluation of all assessment records for 2019. The new assessments will be done by Joe and Paul Denor of Fair Market Assessments. Fair Market Assessments have been handling the assessment duties for the City since 2002. During the winter months appointments will no longer be scheduled.  If you have not yet called for an appointment please wait for another letter in Spring.

Notice: The Walking Trail east of Hwy 67 will be closed beginning Oct. 1st 2018 until Mid June 2019.

The City Drop Off Site:
Hours of Operation
The Kiel Drop-off Site is located at 414 Eighth Street and is open to residents of Kiel as follows:
April 1- May 31 Tuesdays & Thursdays: 4-7 pm Saturdays: 9 am - 1 pm
June 1 - October 31 Tuesdays & Thursdays: 4-8 pm, Saturdays: 9 am - 1 pm

Pickle Ball is played at the City Hall Gym: Wednesday 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm and Sat. 9:30 am to 12:30 pm

Kiel Ambulance Service - EMS Position (ongoing recruitment):
Works under the direction of the City Fire Department’s EMS Director. The position(s) are part time and hours assigned will reflect part time employment, hourly (nonexempt).
